An engaging and beneficial online attention trainer that will surely appeal to both adult and young users of the Mozgotren.ru platform, where everyone can develop their brain without limits.
Similar trainers from the attention games section, where you need to identify changes in the working area, are recommended by experts to actively stimulate the development of mental processing speed in children. Nevertheless, this online trainer is a valuable exercise at any age, allowing you to “load” your brain with enjoyment.
What the “Dobble” exercise trains
Like all exercises in the attention training section, this trainer targets multiple systems, providing a comprehensive load.
Attention
During this task, the main focus of concentration is the images of shapes placed in the cells of the playing field. They change positions, and maintaining attentiveness throughout the training cycle is essential for their quick identification. The target object is not predefined, as in many similar trainers, and must be determined independently each time.
Analytical thinking
For correct and, most importantly, quick identification of the required shape, you need to compare as many objects as possible in both working zones simultaneously. All images have differences and unique features and may vary in color. These conditions create the necessary “pressure” for logical and analytical thinking.
Expanding field of view
The most effective way to find matching shapes is to expand your field of view. By gradually moving your face further from the screen, you’ll notice more objects entering your field of vision. The challenge is to learn to focus attention on multiple objects at once, comparing them at a faster rate.
Game rules
The working area is divided into two fields, each displaying a group of shapes, with each occupying a specific cell. The number of squares filled with shapes changes automatically, starting at 4 per field and increasing with each correct answer up to 10 x 10.
Colored – an additional complication that considers the shape’s color, not just its outline, adding colored shapes beyond black ones.
Rotation – the shapes’ positions in cells are oriented differently, complicating content identification and requiring more time to compare the working fields.
Scoring
The formula for scoring points for a correct answer is as follows:
Your total points + DC*Level
DC – difficulty coefficient, which depends on the difficulty settings chosen before the test. You can see this number in the top-left corner of the playing field. Increasing the difficulty settings raises the difficulty coefficient.
Level – a variable value that starts at a minimum at the beginning of the training and increases by one position with each correct answer. An incorrect answer lowers the level by one position.
The formula for deducting points for an incorrect answer is as follows:
Your total points – (DC*Level)/2
The total points never go into negative values.
Multiplayer
This is a great opportunity to invite one or two opponents and hold a real-time competition. The player selects all difficulty settings and then sends the multiplayer game link by copying it or clicking one of the social media icons below.
The competition can start once all participants confirm their readiness.
The playing field with objects refreshes for all participants simultaneously, and only one participant can give the correct answer – the one who clicks it first.
If a player gives an incorrect answer, the field does not refresh and awaits opponents’ responses.
The number of points earned by a player changes color: green indicates that the player is leading, while red suggests insufficient points for victory.
All achievements should be recorded and compared to help select optimal individual settings and provide insight into personal progress. The attention trainer “Dobble” already includes such a system, with collected data displayed as a convenient progress graph, accompanied by precise point figures and training time below.
