A unique trainer for visual memory and attention, where you must memorize the entire playing field, as the task clarification occurs during the game. This approach prevents the player from selectively memorizing only the data needed for the response. It is part of the online trainers on the mozgotren.ru website, suitable for all ages, though it requires relatively fast counting skills.
What the “Airfield” exercise trains
Like all exercises in this section, this mind trainer targets multiple systems, providing a comprehensive load.
Attention – you must constantly focus on the playing field, as figures appear only briefly, and it’s not enough to simply count them; you also need to differentiate them by direction. The level of attention load largely depends on the settings for task display time and the number of directions.
Thinking speed – all mental calculations must be done very quickly, ideally using a tailored system, allowing you to analyze a much larger volume of data and succeed in completing the task.
Visual memory – per the training conditions, you need to navigate the arrangement of figures on the playing field after they disappear. This immediately suggests that the most convenient approach is to visually memorize the field and, upon task clarification, mentally count the required figures.
Game rules
Before starting, adjust the trainer’s difficulty, which is largely determined by the brief display time of the playing field. You can choose a slow, medium, or fast pace for the game, which determines how much time you have to analyze the directions and number of figures.
4 directions – a complicating addition that doubles the difficulty. When enabled, planes will face not only forward and backward but also left and right.
Colored – a distracting factor; when enabled, planes become colored, and their variety seems greater, though only the direction matters for the correct answer.
After the start, airplane figures briefly appear in the playing field, each with a specific direction of movement – this is crucial to memorize. The playing field then disappears, and a task clarification is presented in the form of a direction arrow to be considered. You must select the correct number of planes that were facing the specified direction from the answer options.
The number of figures involved in the task increases with the level, so each correct answer makes further progress more challenging.
Scoring
The formula for scoring points for a correct answer is as follows:
Your total points + DC*Level
DC – difficulty coefficient, which depends on the difficulty settings chosen before the test. You can see this number in the top-left corner of the playing field. Increasing the difficulty settings raises the difficulty coefficient.
Level – a variable value that starts at a minimum at the beginning of the training and increases by one position with each correct answer. An incorrect answer lowers the level by one position.
The formula for deducting points for an incorrect answer is as follows:
Your total points – (DC*Level)/2
The total points never go into negative values.
Multiplayer
This is a great opportunity to invite one or two opponents and hold a real-time competition. The player selects all difficulty settings and then sends the multiplayer game link by copying it or clicking one of the social media icons below.
The competition can start once all participants confirm their readiness.
The playing field with airplane figures refreshes individually for each participant, and each player provides their answers, earning an individual difficulty level. Victory is determined by points.
The number of points earned by a player changes color: green indicates that the player is leading, while red suggests insufficient points for victory. During the competition, you can observe your opponent’s progress in real-time. The Mozgotren platform allows competitions with up to three opponents simultaneously.
